The last few weeks have been pretty busy for me with Mothers day (which was lovely thanks to my two ‘angels’ who spoilt me)
The pregnancy yoga course is going well and we had Lysia from birth sense come and give us a talk on hypnobirthing. The yoga kittens classes are growing, we had a lovely little group last week.
One of the main events that has happened this month has been the Maya Fiennes workshop my lovely friend Kirsty and I attended at Alchemy in Camden. Arriving at Alchemy we first had to check our names off the list and have our hands stamped for entry (a bit like going to a gig, and this is about as rock n roll as my life gets nowadays!) The centre itself is my dream space, tucked away from the mentalness of Camden market, you walk into the studio and immediately hit a wall of calmness, the colours, the smells, yummy cafe, and all the lovely things they sell! And of course not forgetting all the great classes and treatments they run too 🙂
Everyone was waiting excitedly for the arrival of Maya, who (and without wanting to sound like a stalking weirdo) is just amazing.. The aura around her makes you feel great, she has a kind face with an infectious smile that makes everyone feel at ease and welcome.
The class itself was full of mantras, array of breathing techniques, all to help you reach a blissful state of mind.. It was tough going but worth it! The music selection compliments the class perfectly, the time flies and most importantly everyone had fun! I am looking forward to Maya’s up and coming training courses which are due to start later in 2012. For more details go to www.mayaspace.com
