I began attending Yoga classes in my late teens, it was a class at the gym where I would usually slip out before Shavasana to beat the rush to the showers! but for some reason I kept going back.
A demanding job, mortgage and thoughts of starting a family found me turning my weekly gym class into a real yoga practise. I experimented with many styles from Bikram, to Ashtanga, Kundalini to Vinyasa flow and loved them all for different reasons but always I appreciated the time that Yoga allowed me to concentrate on myself and getting my mind ‘together’.
15 years and 3 children later! I am now a Yoga Alliance registered 200hr yoga teacher. I still enjoy practising many different styles, although my home practise tends to end up as a ‘mash up’ of what ever feels right at the time!
My yoga journey is definitely on going, I have attended workshops with teachers such as Tara Lee, I look forward to increasing my skills and qualifications and sharing those at my classes.
